Do Hyeon Bak Woo was born in 1983 in Anyang, South Korea. Woo is his maternal surname. After specialising realism theatre in university, he worked as an actor and creator for six years in a traveling theatre company for children and youths in South Korea. With trying to be a character on places without the fourth wall, he became doubt realism acting. Rapports with audiences made him reflect on values and effects of stories he was playing. Since leaving the company, he started researching body movement based on biomechanics. He is currently studying at Home of Performance Practices in ArtEZ, in the Netherlands.
